John E. McClay, MD is a pediatric otolaryngologist – ear nose and throat surgeon – who has taken care of children for more than two decades. He has been married for 23 years, is the father of three girls, and has been an academic professor in the Department of Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas for the past 17 years. He has had a Professorship in his honor. He is board certified and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/ Head and Neck Surgery. He has been named one of D Magazines Best Pediatric Specialists every year since its inception in 2003, and one of the best pediatric specialists in the state of Texas by Texas Monthly for the last eight consecutive years. He has also been named to the Best Doctors Organization in America and to the Who’s Who organization across the country in several capacities. Dr. McClay has authored over 30 professional articles in peer reviewed medical journals describing his research studies. He has presented at national and international medical meetings as an invited lecturer. He has appeared on local radio and television programs and has several internet medical articles which collectively receive over 200,000 views a year. He is serving as a liaison to the American Academy of Pediatrics as a member of the Executive Committee for his specialty.
